Run, jog, walk.

One of the main things, which I missed out on last year was my cardio exercise, not to sure why this happened, but a number of distracted from going out and having a run.

This year I am putting running back into my workout program so far this year I have done 12 runs equalling a distance of 164km, which is more distance than I have covered in the all of 2017, so I am very happy with my progress this year.

But when I first start to go running/ jogging many years ago, running 3 to 5k was this most painful thing in the world to do, lungs burning, pain shooting through my legs and every step forward hearing that little voice telling me to stop the run.

Oh yes let’s not forget the little voice even before you start your run voice is finding every excuse in the book to not go out and run, for example:

  1. It is to early to go for a run.

  2. It is too cold to go for a run.

  3. It is to hot to go for a run.

  4. It is too late to go for a run.

  5. I don’t have the time to go for a run.

And the list can go on and on, and put these easy excuses out of your mind can sometimes the hardest thing to do.

But running and walking are some of the easiest activities to do the only barriers to entry are running shoe tracksuit bottoms and a old top you don’t mind getting sweaty you can start, there is no gym membership to pay, there, is you and the road, so start today by walking 30 minuets a day every ( and when I say walking 30 minuets that's is taking 30 minuets out of your day and walking) start out slow and build up to running, but set goals and targets for what you want to achieve and go for it.
